Nara Organics is the only American formula brand made in Germany. We're also the only whole milk formula sold in the U.S. that doesn't add skim milk. When developing our unique recipe, we knew exactly what we wanted to improve — this is what we believe babies and parents deserve in a baby formula.

Nara is raising the bar. Here’s how.

1. Nara is made in Germany to strict standards.

Our manufacturer is a state-of-the-art facility in Germany that has made top European infant formulas for over 70 years. Our formula meets all EU food safety standards, some of the strictest in the world. Our safety protocols are rigorous and include voluntary SRC and C. perfringens screening. We also meet all U.S. standards and we’re FDA registered.

2. Whole milk is our hero.

Nara Organics is the only whole milk formula in the U.S. that doesn't add skim milk. Babies need 50% of their calories from fat, so we start with the nutritious fat in whole milk. MFGM in milk fat is shown to support babies’ gut health, brain development, and immune system. When it comes to fat, we don’t compromise.

3. Nara’s recipe is completely unique.

We spent 7 years working with scientists and pediatricians to include the most milk fat possible in our recipe. This took research, rigorous ingredient sourcing, a new FDA designation, and a double blind clinical trial.

4. We focus on brain and gut health.

We include DHA at EU levels, plus ARA, inositol, and choline to support brain development (all found in breastmilk). We also add organic GOS, a prebiotic derived from organic lactose, to support digestion and soft poops.

The first ingredient in our formula is organic whole milk. We never add skim milk.
We provide as much fat as possible from whole milk, then we add organic plant based oils, including coconut oil
Lactose is our major carb providing energy for babies, similar to breastmilk
Our 60/40 whey to casein ratio is an easy-on-tummies protein blend that mimics mature breastmilk
We add organic GOS as a prebiotic to support digestion and soft poop
We include DHA and ARA (both found in breastmilk) to support brain development
We never add skim milk, corn syrup solids, palm oil, soy, fish oil, or GMO ingredients

How to switch formulas

Here are some tips for switching formulas. PLEASE NOTE: Nara uses a 1:1 water to powder ratio. Many formulas use a 2:1 water to powder ratio, so this would be an important change when mixing bottles.
